RE: Cineplayer/DELL Media Experience

Dell Media Experience was OEM, however, no backup software disk was provided at time of purchase. The player does not work. I insert a DVD into the drive tray and the only thing that happens is a flash of the Cineplayer opening screen which disappears instantly.

1) Have tried to Repair through the add/remove programs with no results other than I am asked for a disk.

2) Have downloaded and installed the SONIC update(R142470.exe) and after doing so, receive an error message stating the Cineplayer 3.0 is not compatible with the update. I have contacted Sonic/Roxio, and have yet to receive a reply to my query.

3) After extracting the files from the above mentioned update, there is a new twist to the problem. After starting my machine, the desktop appears as usual, however 2 new windows are popping up in the upper left corner of the desktop. Both are written in DOS, appear to have something to do with the DVD player/ Sonic. Each one of the 2 screen has a square icon crossed diagonally with the top colored black, the bottom colored white, and a green cross in the center. One screen is titled: DrvmCDB, the other Diagnostic Traces.

I have tried to locate these files, but am not successful; have tried a System Restore to a previous time, but that does not work either.

Would like to know how to remove these 2 pop-ups; and how to un-install Cineplayer and all of it's files. I am beyond disappointed with this program. It does not work, files are corrupt, updates are not compatible, etc.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

So what does this have to do with Roxio Creator 2009?

Since you seem to have some OEM version from Dell you should be contacting them regarding your problem
