stnakamura
I have following questions on the XP Clean Install instructions (1) I also found "SmartSound Software" and "Sonic Solutions" folders in addition to the ones called out below - should I also delete them? Double-click the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder this will expand or open the folder. Locate the Software folder. Locate the Roxio folder. Right click on Roxio and click delete. Do the same for the Sonic folder. (2) I also found a "SmartSound Software" folder in addition to the ones called out below - should I also delete it? Double-click the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE folder this will expand or open the folder. Locate the Software folder. Locate the Roxio folder. Right click on Roxio and click delete. Do the same for the Sonic and Sonic Desktop Software folders.
0 gi7omy
ONLY delete the keys given in the KB article Smartsound is a bundled 3rd party app and has no bearing on the install. Also, the built-in Windows CD software is supplied by Roxio so you could also take out part of the Windows system
