Jfdensmore@hotmail.com
I've been trying since Christmas to get this to run. Whenever I try to view movies in Cineplayer the system crashes bad.. The screen goes blank and the only solution is to power down using the power button. I would like to talk to someone but no luck
tbrewst
Unfortunately all of us here are users just like you so the best we can do is try and help here.If you want to talk to a Roxio person you'll have to call support. That being said how did Cineplayer get on your machine? Is it part of one of the suites or is it a standalone version? If it's standalone try uninstalling and reinstalling. Do you have other DVD viewing apps on your machine and if so do they work?

rar1951
Are you using a wireless mouse? They have been known to cause problems with Cineplayer. I have a Compaq Presario similar to your computer and have the same problem. I have noticed, via the Task Manager, that the DVD player drags, then freezes, and my CPU usage is at 100%. I do not know if this will be the answer, however I downloaded a "Memory Optimizer" which are prolific on Major Geek's web site ( i.e., mine is part of a utilities package called Glarys Utilities. With this program you can set the Optimizer to automatically run when CPU usage approaches 90%. It does a 5 second defrag and finds more CPU's for your computer to keep running, rather than freezing. I hope this works for you. Of course you have to terminate all unessential programs the are competing for your computer's CPU's like scans or browsers while you are playing Cineplayer. rar1951
