Toast 8 & Itunes Library

jazziz23

Question

I recently moved my iTunes Music Library to an external hard drive due to space contraints and now when I try to use Toast 8 it does not see the new location of the iTunes Library. I have tried pointing to the new external hard drive, but that has not worked and I do not see any option to change the location of the Libirary in Toast 8.

Any help and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Sal

It may work to create an alias to the iTunes Library and locate it in your Music folder. Be sure to delete the word alias so the folder name is identical to the original library. The Make Alias command is in the Finder's File menu.

tsantee thanks for your help. I tried that and it still does not work.

I was able to get to the artist stored on the external hard drive by changing the Media Browser option from "Audio" to "Files", then selecting the "iTunes Music" folder on the external hard drive ... but I'm still not able to see/select any playlist created in iTunes, which is frustrating and puzzling ...

Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Sal
