SK-SD
Just bought and installed VHStoDVD device and Easy Creator 2009 bundle. It captured in the default format"DV". The sound is noisy and the video quality is poor. The picture is not smooth, it is jerky. What can I do about it. My laptop runs at 1.3 GHz and has 1.5 GB memory, is that sufficient? (2) Tried audiononly capture, but the USB device is not available as an option. It shows the source as only the sound card. The packaging states that it can do it. What can I do about it? Thanks. Most likely CPU is just not good enough for video work even though it is "above" the stated requirements which are a joke. In addidtion your laptop graphics adaptor (a most important parameter and which you did not list) is also propably bot good enough. I don't know what you mean by the Easy Creator bundle. There is no such package. If you mean Roxio Creator 2009 then that package cannot exist on your computer at the same time - they are not compatible. Jim_Hardin
Just bought and installed VHStoDVD device and Easy Creator 2009 bundle. Thanks. You don't actually have the Easy VHS to DVD package at all do you??? You have the Sam's Club or Costco Roxio Creator 2009 Special Edition, correct? Defrag – Reboot – shutdown Everything you don't need running and try it again with a short capture. (stick to DV, it is big, but imposes the least stress on your cpu)

I was to able to get it to work with DV HQ mode that created a MPG2 format. It is OK, not great. Tried DVD Quality and it drops frames and clips sound. Jim_Hardin
OK, you outfoxed us, you got both So what you want to do is load remove the VHS to DVD software and load the Creator 2009. – it has more features and generally more horsepower the V2D Suite. Not sure if the V2D drivers will work in C2009. – Even if they do, download the driver pack for the USB Device when used with C2009, Here. Save it somewhere if you need to reinstall C2009 and it would save you from having to install V2D just for the drivers. Note: for VHS to DVD users, the drivers for C2009 are nothing you want for your software package!!!
