Mydvd Xml Load Failure

Surf

Question

Whenever I create a project in Creator 2009 MYDVD, save it, then try to reopen, it says "Open project operation failed XML load failure"

It took hours to create the project and to have it unopenable is very unnerving.

I'm running XP.

Do other applications such as Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player work?

Please post your computer specs. That type of message has not been seen since EMC 7 days (from Kb) except when trying to open a project in a newer version than what was originally used to create the project.

Did you use the full MyDVD or did you use one of the light versions? Did you start with VideoWave (which you should). What types of movies are in the project - slide shows, CineMagic productions, other?

IE and WMP work.

Dell Dimension 8400

Windows XP Home edition

5.1.2600 Service PAck 3 Build 2600

2GB RAM

160 GB HD

Used the full MyDVD that comes bundled in Creator 2009. Did not start with Videowave. Movies are .avi captured by Roxio from Camcorder.

Clean un/reinstall fixed it. Thx for the help.

Did your Dell come with OEM Roxio software installed?

If so, uninstall any/all roxio and sonic software. Clean from program files, and registry. Then install with your anti virus and crap turned off.
