My 2 Cents On What I Think Of Tiger Being Excluded

Mark Pigott

Question

This is quite upsetting to me as I have a Power PC Dual 2.G and Tiger.

So basically, Roxio wants to lose money with $000 from me for their "upgrade"

which SHOULD have supported TIGER!

(and I hope Roxio is reading this!)

(Nothing against you though; just undersight by the corporation)

I just noticed that Toast 10 minimum requirements may rule out some older Macs that haven't upgraded.

"Toast 10 Titanium System Requirements

Minimum System Requirements

Macintosh® computer with a PowerPC™ G4, PowerPC G5 or Intel® Processor. PowerPC G5 or Intel processor required for encoding and viewing high definition content “If you’re using Mac OS X v10.4, click here for more information about Toast 9 Titanium”

CD, DVD or Blu-ray recordable drive*

Mac OS X v10.5.x

QuickTime® v7.x

Up to 800 MB free disk space to install all components

Up to 15 GB of temporary free disk space during usage

Internet connection required for some functionality"

What is Mac OSX 5? If you mean 10.5 then that is what is needed to use Toast 10.

Perhaps it is more complex than just that. There may be subroutines in the new version of the OS that are not present in the earlier versions.

Also why do you feel you need to upgrade to Toast 10? Is there something in that version that you don't have or can't do in the one you already have. BTW, if you don't have an earlier Version of Toast but want one, you should be able to pick one up inexpensively off the web.
