Cutting Sections Fr. Scenes

Hi:

Again, because of Roxio's extremely poor Help file, I have to ask how to do a another procedure. Wouldn't it be nice if they included Trim, Video edit, Scene edit, etc. in their Help file!

However, how do I go about deleting small sections from a particular scene? For example, suppose I have a 15 sec. scene but want to eliminate the first 2 seconds and another section from the 7 to 9 second point in the scene? Assume I'm using VideoWave.

Also, what is the procedure for setting the beginning and the end of the piece to be removed (or 'saved', whichever it is)? Apparently it's a company secret as to how each of the icons are to be used (e.g. how do you activate the 'Set Start Time' "[" icon?)

Similarly, if I use the 'Trim' function, which part is removed: the part inside the markers or the part outside the markers?

Have you read any of the Tips & Tricks sections in the various forums (same procedure in EMC 9 and EMC 10). There are several posts where most of this is explained. Trim obviously means removing pieces from the ends.
