When you talk of a 'hub' are you trying to connect the device to an external USB hub? If so, don't - connect it to one of the back USB sockets on the computer.

 

There have been problems concerning front USB ports (they don't seem to work in a lot of cases). Also, the device does need a USB 2 connection and if your port is USB 1.1, it will fail

 

I'm having the same problem - no picture when I try to capture although the sound is there. I done the download and and install of the driver and still without success. I have XP and am using an RCA cable.

 

Any other suggestions?

Unless you are connected through a Hub, different problem…

 

You will hear audio and get a black screen if your video connection does not match the Composite or S-Video you have to set in the Import window.
