Blank DVD Not Recognized

I have a Dell Inspiron E1705 running Vista Home edition, My DVD is a TSSTcorp DVD+RW TS-L632D-DEO3. I've installed Roxio Creator 2009. I've copied a DVD to my hard drive, when I attempt to use Roxio Video Copy and Convert and get to "Burn Setup" I get this message; "Blank DVD+R, Free Space: 8.0 GB (insert Disk). The disk is in the the DVD!! I would appreciate any assistance....Please? Thanks, Barry
