Stutter During Video Capture

2_Many_Home_Videos

Question

I have been using Creator 2009 for about 2 months now. I have over 20 years of family videos that I want to capture and convert to DVD. I have captured about 50 hours of video from VHS and DV with no problems. Just in the last few days the transfer has started to stutter. Meaning that the video and audio at times will flicker, stutter is the best way to explain it. It is captured that way on the hard drive when I play it back. It now occurs on VHS and 2 seperate video camcorders: a JVC DV & a SONY Digital 8. When I play back those same ares on the camera alone there is no stutter / glitching. Has my capture device gone bad? I am frustrated as I still have hundreds of hours of video to capture. Help!!

Thanks,

Jace

How much free space on your hard drive? Have you defragged your hard drive lately?

Have you burned any of those 50 hours to DVD yet?
