My portable DVD player won't recognize the disk. Manual says disk must be finished. I use the Roxio "Finish Disk" feature and the DVD burner won't finish the disk...keeps asking for me to insert a finishable disk (forget the exact term). Thanks in advance.

Maybe I need to buy another DVD player. If so, what feature should I look for?

No so sure Muireadach has this software either???

Where do you find this "Finish Disk" feature in V2D? By the way, it would be 'Disc for optical media. The 'K' is only used when referring to magnetic media.

In any case, all Authored discs are Finalized. You cannot create a DVD Movie and not Finalize a disc. There is no choice.

Finalize is only reserved for Data discs and V2D doesn't have any program that can create them.

Try your disc in other Players. Also you should be using quality media like Verbatim. I tend to lean toward 'plus' media but all recent Players I have seen seem to play 'dash' as well as 'plus' with ease.

I Can't find a "Finish Disk" or Finalize Disc feature in Easy VHS to DVD, or anything in its manual which says that a disk/disc must be finished/finalized.

What software are you using ??

Sorry, I'm Using Roxio Creator 2009 Special Edition, and I was burning data disks (dummy).

Ok, I burned one and it plays on power DVD & cineplayer. If it doesn't play on my LG portable DVD, I'll post again or buy a new DVD olayer. Thanks for your help
