Usb Capture

I am trying to save all my old videos to DVD and the Roxio promotion of their USB capture says it does that.I've since bought both products and tried to use them and it just comes up no signal.Am I missing something here?Anyone any idea what the problem could be.

Yes all cables are correctly installed but I did initially load CD befpore connecting USB device.I was then instructed to download the drivers,which I did. Does it matter that my video is perhaps in analogue format?

Of course the video is in analogue, that is why you are using an Analogue to Digital Converter

 

What do you mean by "download the driver"? That means you went on the Internet and downloaded something? You were supposed to Cancel the Windows and use the Install program from the disc.

 

No go back to the article and look at the pictures about Device Manager and Drivers.

 

Open your Device Manager, with the device plugged in, and compare them. No match, no work!

The driver in Device manager is the same as the one in the article

 

I have also uninstalled and then re-installed the driver.Assuming this problem can be resolved,did I really need creator or would creator 10 have worked as well.Any how it's still not working.

You will have to call Tech Support on this one… Sorry

 

EMC 10 would have worked, but 2009 is a little better, I think.

Sorry the driver is now showing the driver being provided by Roxio technology.Where can I get the other driver and how do I get it to supercede the Roxio one.Thanx for all your help BTW

Go to the Properties: Driver: Driver Details and you will see the eMPIA Technology, Inc. listed.

 

Still not working, give Roxio a call.

Is the Roxio USB device properly installed and recognized by Windows? Are the cables connected correctly? Didyou press play on the VCR? We need a bit more information on what you have already done.
