gi7omy
Read only shouldn't matter - make a folder on the desktop and call it 'Roxio' or whatever - open the DVD in Explorer, select all files and drag them to the new folder - use 'copy' and not 'move' (move won't work with a DVD) but copy should If it won't copy, then you have a faulty disc
gi7omy
Is that the installation disc or a disc you made yourself?

gi7omy
OK - try copying the contents of the disc over to a temporary fiolder on the hard drive and run setup.exe from there. If the files fail to copy, return the disc (you got a bad one) One other thing - that error code has at times been associated with 'Magic Jack' - if you have that, unplug it while using the Roxio software
