Need More Transitions

Hey all,

 

Just finished installing Creator 2009. I was curious to see all the new transitions that come with the newest version compared to my old outdated 7.5 ver. I have to say that I was really dissapointed to see a lot of the old transitions in the newest version. Now don't get me wrong, some of the older transitions are cool, I just expected new transitions that would "POP RIGHT OUT AT JA." Not the case. Some of the new transitions are cool, but I must admit I really expected a whole lot more.

 

Does anyone know if Creator 2009 offers a package of transitions to purchase? Would be nice if Roxio did sell such a beast. I shoot/photograph and video a lot of Parties and special events and thay involve a lot of fast paced energy. I need transitions and effects that suit that environment. So far, the transitions in Creator 2009 are working out but they are getting old. Little help folks.

There are over 250 transitions in Creator 2009, which is about 100 more than in EMC 7.5! How many do you need?

Also remember that you can run some of them backward so that you give a different effect and you can change the color on some of them. That brings the transitions up to around 400 !

 

I know that I have no right to ask but do you want people to remember the transitions or the video/images?

Thanks for that info on running a transition backwards. I'll give that a try. And yes, you do have the right to ask that question "do you want people to remember the transitions or the video/images?"

 

First off, some of my events are more of stills than video. Sorry I can't make you understand why I need so many varities of transitions. Most of the events I shoot are kids and young adult birthday parties. Here in Baltimore, a lot of the music (AKA Baltimore House Music) as well as some of the modern hip hop music is very fast paced and I like to keep the transitions busy, photos fast yet functional trust me, i tell the customer that they can always use the pause button if the presentation is moving too fast. Trust me, a lot of my clientelle like and appreciate my creativity. So if you can imagine a hot, fast tempo, with heavy base and poppin snares, it's my hope you will now understand why I ask for more transitions.

 

I once had pinnacle and they had tons of cool transitions. I just got tire of being nickled and dimed for them. As I stated earlier on my first post, this is a major upgrade for me going from v.7.5 to 2009. I just expected more "different" transitions. basically, I'm seeing a lot of the same stuff. But trust me, I aint mad. It's all good stuff and I can work with it. Just wish there was one huge package of software that had and did it all vs switching fom program to program to get that specific effect/transition. I know you know what I mean.

I was reading your repy about transitions. I too, was actually looking for a Page Turn transition. When i go into Add Transition and click on the down arrow in the drop down box, I then select Page Turns and I get a message that says "There are no items to show in this." So why aren't there any Page Turn Transitions? I have Creator 9.

What software do you have? There is no Creator 9.

There is a 3 year old Easy media Creator 9 and there is Roxio Creator 2009. They are quite different and until you give the correct version you have, an answer is not possible.
