Instruction Book

Leo H

Question

It appears that everyone agrees that the "User Guide" does not provide the detailed real step-by-step instructions required to create a nice movie project. I was able to teach myself how to create CD projects, but I am really stumped how to get started on movies. I have a nice 15 minute VHS tape that was made from some 16 mm footage of my wife and my kids, and I have captured it into My Videos, and I would like to add descriptive titles, narrative and background music. I can see that the capability is in the software, But I can't figure out how to use it. I think it would be great if some real expert on Creator 2009 or one of the earlier versions, were to write a book like the ones published by "Que Books" or the "Dummies" series. Has anyone actually done that already?

Try these Tips & Tricks by sknis. They should still be applicable for Creator 2009 (an earlier version). The "Disc Copier" mentioned in the post is now called Video Copy & Convert in Creator 2009.

Yes the Dummies books were done but I believe it was only for V6 & V8.

After that Roxio was coming out with a new one every year and it is not feasible to publish a new one each year!

Not sure they would be of much use in that too much has changed.

But as Jess points out, several members have made contributions along these lines and we are all willing to bounce ideas around.
