jaf05
I've loaded the program several times and added the updates. When I try to start the program, I get the red Roxio rectangle on my Dell screen [XP Pro system with 1.6 G processor and 1 G RAM], then nothing. Nothing from Product Support. The age of your PC I doubt you would have a "DirectX 9 compatible graphics card or higher" unless you have updated it? The minimum system requirements IMO are way to low, I think you're seeing the results of that! Roxio Easy VHS to DVD Minimum System Requirements: * Windows Vista/XP, 1 GHz processor and 512 MB RAM * DirectX 9 compatible graphics card or higher, sound card, DVD-ROM drive * 2 GB free hard drive space for installation * Windows Media Player 10 or higher * CD Writer for VCD, SVCD and DVD Writer for DVD * Internet Explorer 7 * One available USB 2.0 port cd

When I try to start the program, I get the red Roxio rectangle on my Dell screen [XP Pro system with 1.6 G processor and 1 G RAM], then nothing. Nothing from Product Support. I have the same problem, with no response from Roxio Support. I have a HP a6110n Desktop w/ AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 4400+ 2.3 ghz with 2 gig of ram. I run Vista premium home edition which IMO is the worst orperating system I have ever used. I have never had this much problem installing a program. I have turned off my firewall, my virus protector and have no other programs running and all I get when I try to run easy VHS to DVD is the Roxio logo in a box and then the desk top back. ????? Any help will be greatly appreciated. TIA

Or are you having problems with the software launching and actually running a application? I have the same problem, You really don't and should of posted your own thread! Look at this pinned thread, 'Installing Easy Vhs To Dvd On Vista Home Premium 32 Sp1'. Compare it to your install. http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?showtopic=49170 Are you running Vista SP1? Have you updated to 'Easy Vhs To Dvd Service Pack 2 Released' http://www.roxio.com/enu/support/easy-vhs-...re_updates.html Check with HP for a driver update for your video card or chip. cd
