Try this:

In MyDVD - Tools - Options - Render, select Software.

when I open MyDVD located in My Documents, I click tools and get Map network Drive, disconnect network drive,synchronize...andfolder options. When I click folder options I dont see render or select software. the only thing in My DVD is desktop configuration settings. Should I have saved the slideshow I created My DVD? I saved it in My videos

No, Jim is saying open the MyDVD program -- not wherever / whatever you saved and named your MyDVD project.

Once the Roxio MyDVD program itself is opened, bring in your project.

Then find "Tools" in the upper bar of the MyDVD program, and follow Jim's sage advice from there, i.e., Choose Options, then Render, select "Software."

Save the project wherever you like. Remember, though, that it only points to the data you otherwise have stored in your pc.

thanks it worked. I had to get to the My DVD program in the programs Roxio 2009 applications area in the start menue. I did not see it in the 2009 creator main page. thanks again.

Somebody thought they were being cute with the Home app and buried it under a word avalanche of:

Video-Movie – Create – Create DVDs-Advanced

That makes so much more sense than Video-Movie – MyDVD like previous versions used.

Why use one word when you can use 4 to say the same thing only with more confusion :o

Setting there will set it in other programs that use render so at least it is one stop shopping.
