Mp3 Disk

jrbmaclachlan

Question

I have roxio 2009. I want to convert WAV files on my computer and create an MP3 cd. However the software only seems to allow me create the disk if I start with MP3 files which is not helpful. If I use the "create an MP3 cd" facility it refuses to handle it and says there is not enough disc space even though I have selected the option to create an MP3 file. Can the software do what I want

Right, you have to convert your .WAV files to .MP3 files first, which you can do using Sound Editor. If you add your .WAV files to the project, then Export Clips, (make sure you select the option to export each clip separately) you can select the file format you want to save them as, which would obviously be .MP3. Once you have the .MP3 files, you can go back to Music Disc Creator, or the home application, and create your MP3 CD.

Hope that helps!

Try this, it works for me. No need to pre-convert. There are several options for conversion; I selected mp3. Select Music Disc Creator, select mp3, select file, project settings. Burn away ! :)

Note that there are several ways of doing things in this program and I doubt that everyone knows everything ! ;):P

Thanks for your help. Earlier versions allowed me to create the disk as a single process. Clearly the improved version will not allow this

????????? Did you read my post #3; the conversion is done in the background -- one step. Once you set that, you never have to change it again.
