sryan24
I haven't used this program in such a long time. Can you please refresh my memory on uploading my DVD video so I can edit in imovie? Thanks!
tsantee
If your video is on a DVD choose DVD disc in the Player section. Click the red button and choose either AppleTV or MPEG 4 as the format. However, if you are using iMovie '08 (and probably this is also true with '09) the video won't import unless you use QuickTime Pro to remove a text track that Popcorn adds to the file. The video will import okay into iMovie HD. Unfortunately QuickTime Pro isn't free and I don't know any other way to remove the text track. If this is an issue for you then use something other than Popcorn. For example, Toast can export to DV format which doesn't have this issue. To remove the text track in QuickTime Player (with Pro activated), open the video and choose Show Movie Properties from the Windows menu. Scroll down the window and select the Text track. Click the Delete button. Save the video.
