Creator 2009 Crashes When Copying Dvd

Funster

Question

Start Creator 2009 and click on copy DVD. Shows right DVD+RW DL a Phillip burner. Put in DVD to copy (it was made by Creator earlier) and says reading disc. Program hangs. Cannot go to explorer because it is also hung. Have did a clean uninstall of everything as recommended by Roxio including drilling into the register. Reinstalled everything. Same thing happens. Everything used to work okay. Using Windows XP with 2gb ram and 160gb hard drive. Can play DVD on Windows Media Player 11 or Media Center. Any ideas? Any suggestions to other software with fewer problems than Roxio is having?

Can you copy any other disc without it hanging?

Thank you for your reply. Good point. I find I can copy commercial dvd's but the ones that I created on the earlier version of Roxio all hang. I think the most earlier version was Easy Creator 10. Any suggestions? They all play on Windows Player or Media Center but not on Cineplayer the Roxio program. Seems like there is a conflict between the methods used. I tried copying the files on the DVD to the hard drive first but I get a cyclical error. Any suggestions.

I've tried more DVD's and find that it is only a few that I made that cause the 2009 to crash and then the explorer crashes as well. I have to reboot then.
