Trouble With Adding Movie In MyDVD

Mike_

Question

Yes, I have a similar issue, MYDVD load ok but when I click to "Add Movie" I get a run time error that is generated by the "ViedoWave". I have also updated the windows vista, directx, mediaplayer, and changed the rendering, the same thing still happens. Then I tried to update the Roxio Media Creator Suite 10 and when I try, my Norton Internet Security tries to uninstall. If I click no the update stops, if I uninstall Norton then it stops the update, then when I try to update with Norton uninstalled, it install the Norton and stops.

I contacted Norton and they said that it was a roxio and windows installation program conflict. Sharing DLL files.

This seems to occur, when my roxio automatically updated, about a week ago, any suggestions?

I'm having this problem as well. I create a production in MyDVD, click the Add Movie and while scrolling to select the movies it suddenly crashes, no error message, and Vista asks if I want to close the program or look for a solution online then close the program.

The Check For Updates menu item within the program says no updates can be found. If anyone finds a solution for this I'd be much appreciative as it happens most every time I go to add a movie.

Well, I completely uninstalled the entire Roxio program, Then installed the old version. It did not conflict with Norton and installed fine. And is working good. My advice is not to updaye you Roxio until the Roxio team is able to generate a good update program.
