Burn Dvd Dual Layer To Dvd Single Layer

My brother made a DVD playable home video of his family with a nice menu. He put it on a dual layer DVD. It did not play well in my DVD player, probably due to some scratches. It plays fine in my laptop so I thought I would just do a DVD copy and put it on a single layer DVD that I have laying around. Now his video is probably less than 2GB. How can I copy from a DL to SL disk. Roxio accepts the video but then wants me to put in a blank DVD DL to write the video. How do I trick/get Roxio to copy the disk to a single layer? I am hopefully looking for an easy solution. Thanks.

Just copy the video_ts folder to the laptops internal hard drive. Then use Video Copy & Convert to burn that folder to a single layer disc. Use the first COPY tab. Not the Convert tab.
