Button "import Now" Is Disabled In "roxio Media Import"

alexeyye

Question

Hello,

I am trying to capure video from my video camera, using the "Roxio Media Import" (part of Roxio Creator 2009).

I am selecting movie chapters or whole movie, but the button "Import Now" is disabled (greyed out), so I cannot start the import.

It seems that the "Roxio Media Import" recognizes the camera, since I see the movies list on the screen, but the button, as I sadi is desabled.

I have opened a help case for it, but meanwhile I have got from the Technical Support some general recomendations, such "update drivers" and check "start up".

Please advise.

Thanks,

Alexey Y

I am using USB connection. Camcorder is Canon DC 50. I have selected a movie but the button is disabled.

The software package that came with your camcorder --My DVD for Canon-- was modified by Canon to allow capture via USB. Normally you would need to connect the camcorder to your computer via Firewire connection.

I do not know if My DVD for Canon is compatible with Creator 2009.

Put the disc in your computer and copy the files. You may have to have finalized the disc.

This is what Canon says about it (link)

Hi guys,

The "problem" is resolved.

I have to populate "Rename Files" text box, since without it the "Import Now" button is disabled. I though, I have tried all variants, before opening new topic in this forum…

Sorry for disturbing you with this stupid issue.

Thanks a lot to all who answered me!
