Dvd Flickering

Azelia82

Question

I made a dvd, but when i play it in my dvd player the movies flickers but only on top of the screen, I tried watching it in the other tvs and dvd players i still got the the same result. How can i make a perfectly good movie without the flickering on top?

A lot of TVs need to be set to the correct AV channel - the flickering at the top for VCRs was symptomatic of being tuned to a 'broadcast' channel and not AV

Try an alternative AV channel if you have one

AV - Audio Video.

Most TV sets had that set to channel 0 (it had a wider bandpass than the regular broadcast ones). Later on they added a dedicated Audio/Video setting

If you played a tape from a VCR via one of the 'normal' channels, you did get tearing at the top inch or so of the screen
