Uploading Projects To Youtube

YouTube.com/peltiermusic

Question

Hey, I'm having a probably small, but very annoying problem...

I've tried to upload my video projects to youtube in various ways:

1. I tried in the format it came with,

2. I've 'synced it!' to youtube formats,

4. and I've tried by sharing videos on the Online tab.

- when I did this, only the original(raw) videos came up as a selection. The projects were not comming up as selectable!!

I'm probably having a very rookie problem, but its getting on my nerves not being able to upload my videos up to my youtube account.

I'm (sort of) a veteran YouTuber, and decided to do it right and start editing my videos, but after I created a few projects and decided to upload them, I found out I did something wrong, because every time I tried to upload them, It came up as (File failed to covert) or some other crap.

HELP HELP HELP!!!!

When you go to output the file and there is something wrong, not the time when it hangs. That should be close to where the issue is.

Double check you music; that is often where the issue is.

I used VideoWave on Roxio Creator 2009.

I tried using the film reel button. I couldn't figure out where the file was put after the conversion. So, I just saved the project as something else. But when I went to upload it on YouTube, the same message came up:

Failed (unable to convert video file)

And what do you mean by 'check my music'?

Not sure what #1 is, but the other two won't work with Videowave project files. You have to output your project to a video file to upload.

Open Videowave

Load your project file

Then over the preview, click the icon that looks like a Reel of film (Export as). Choose a file type under 'Video File Quality'. YouTube will accept many different types. WMV or AVC should work fine.

Choose a file name and folder. Click on 'Create Video' button.

THEN go to the Home app / Online Tab and upload the file you just created.

UGGG. I am getting so, so frustrated.. My videos are now showing up selectable in the upload box on the Online Tab, but the video Failed to Convert AGAIN..

Im going to try Export As again but as a Email file..

The email file says it is uploaded, but it is processing! Knock on wood though cause anything could happen.

Again, thank you for your time, knowledge, and patience. :)

What application did you use to edit the videos? If you used Video Wave, load the project again and use the film reel icon above the preview window to output that project. Select the format you want. If it converts, try uploading that. If it doesn't, there is something wrong with either the original file or with one of your edits. When you go to output the file and there is something wrong, not the time when it hangs. That should be close to where the issue is.

I dont remember what I used when it failed.. I've tried soo many times!

But the email file DEFINATELY uploaded, but the quality was horrible. So I found out that is was WMV, so I just went with a high quality WMV format, for which I'm attempting to make work at the moment.

But there shouldnt be any reason for it not to work.

And I just found out that it didnt work.. :( It didnt even show up on the YouTube page, it just said Error code: 0 or something.

So now, I'm trying the AVC..

UG. Man... It always either comes up with Error Code: 0 or Error Code: (with a HUGE Crazyyy number)..

I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong.. I've tried SOOO many different file formats and only one worked, but it had HORRIBLE quality! :(

I just dont know what to do anymore...

It sound like you are not clear on what you have or have not tried anymore. You have tried a lot of things. My suggestion is to start from scratch. Right now, if you got it to work, you would not remember how you did it.

First, where did you get your video? How did you create the project? How long (time) is it and how large? Standard definition or high definition?

In Video Wave were you able to output to an AVC- good file with no problems? I don't understand why the only conversion was e-mail.

Stop there an tell use what progress you've made and what you have tried. Get a sheet of paper and pencil and write down each step and the results of that step. Post any error messages; yes, even the long number with the Huge Crazyyy Number along with the text.

After you have done that, come back and tell us your progress BEFORE you try to upload.

You can save some time by using the default text rather than trying to be too cute.
