Emc 10 Won't Start

Question

A few days ago, my EMC 10 stopped responding. I removed it per Roxio's directions, (Used Windows Install Clean Up, deleted program files and registry keys, etc.). I then rebooted and reinstalled with my AV and all other programs disabled. The install says it was successful, but when I try to open the program, I get the splash screen for a few seconds and then an error dialog box: "Could not complete the last command. Unknown error".

 

I scanned my machine with Malwarebytes and had a HijackThis log reviewed and there does not appear to be any bug problems.

 

I put in a tech support request Sunday and received a ticket number, but they mus be busy and I've got some burning that need to get done.

 

Thanks for any thoughts on this.

Do it again...

 

It doesn't always work first time through.

 

 

I did it three times before I contacted Roxio support and twice since. I had the download saved in a folder on my machine. To make sure that wasn't contaminated, the last time I used a copy of the original download I made and copied to DVD the day I purchased this program.
