tlance987 Posted March 4, 2009 Report Share Posted March 4, 2009 Hello all I am new to this forum and to the dvd burning world so if I come off as unknowledgable please bear with me....... question I have a lite on 16x dvd burner.. intel 4 process... 160 g HD i am using roxio to burrn and am converting .flv files to avi files before I burn them. Why o Why is is taking 7 hrs to burn a dvd file? 1st i get file 2nd i convert file to avi 3rd i copy file to burn software 4th i burn it but takes too long is there a setting or something i need to do to speed up that process? Do i need to compress it or rip it or something? How about telling us what software program from what suite you are using so your post can be moved to the correct forum? Some more information on your system specs, operating system, video card would help. How are you converting the flv video to avi? How long in time is your video? Burning usually does not take very long; its the rendering to DVD compliant video that takes the time: 1 hour of video can take between 1 and 3 hours or even longer.
