2009 And Video Capture Usb

I have 2009 and Roxio Video Capture USB device. It came in one box with an two installation CDs. I followed the instructions. Device Manager shows USB 2861 Device and USB Capture Device, both working. I connect and tape player to the RCA sound jacks and no audio shows on the sound editor. I'm using Vista Home Premium and a Dell Inspiron laptop. HELP!

Yes, I have version 1.1.110 SP3 ; 4.50.05a. Roxio Creator Special Edition.

 

Now I get audio, however it has a steady loud hum with the audio.

Now the Hum is gone. Let's consider this one closed, thank you for your help.
