Spanning Disabled

I am trying to burn a data DVD DL. I was initially having an issue with the space remaining indicator (it was saying that my blank DVD DL only had 256KB). I followed a tip to delete the toast.plist, and i was able to get that indicator back up to the proper 7.96GB.

Now, when I put my files in the window and click burn, everything goes normally until I get an error reading:

"Spanning is disabled because the destination disc is too small

The discs should all have at least 39.1MB"

Has anyone else encountered this error? I don't know what I'm doing wrong! Everything was working fine a few hours ago when I successfully burned a data disc.

It sounds like the plist file got corrupted again. For some reason Toast isn't accepting the info being provided by the drive regarding the space available on the disc. You might try reinstalling Toast as well as deleting the plist and prefs files.
