sknis
Can anyone tell me the simplest way to join *.wmv and *.avi video clips without converting them to another format, and not compromise the quality of the original. donwb I understand but there is something that is missing. Please tell us what you want to do with the resulting video? Think about it, how would your computer or DVD player know what to do? DVDs have to be compliant with the standard so the video files are mpg2. If you indeed want to make a DVD of the files, You have several choices. If you want one long movie, just add them to Video Wave and then save the project, open My DVD and add that file via add movie. If you want them as separate movies, just open My DVD and add them via add movies to the menu you select. By the way, do you have a Roxio product? Do you want to make data discs or do you want to upload to a portable device or an on-line sharing site (like UTube)?

Do you simply want to combine files with wmv and avi format into another video file? Burn to a DVD? Exactly what do you mean by join? The resulting quality will in general be lower but maybe not noticeable depending on what format you choose.

I have some video clips from a digital camera (made in its movie mode) in *.avi format. I want to simply join them together and save the resulting file to my PC's hard drive for later viewing. donwb
