Gold Versus Standard Leads

[ive heard for years that using gold connectors is always better than the cheap standard connectors on rcs jacks. has anyone had any experience with this and transferring vhs to dvd - am i better off using gold connectors instead of the standard connecotrs.

Gold never corrodes, all other metals do…

 

When you push the connections on and give them a twist you break through any oxidization.

 

Personally I have yet to see any setup where Gold made one drop of difference…

Apart from anything else, it's only a thin plating of gold - the cabling is copper

 

As Jim said, the act of actualy connecting and disconnecting fixes any oxidisation problems - with gold, it just scrapes it off
