Importing .cda Audio Files As .mp3 Files

Music Please

Question

Hey All,

I just realized I need to learn to extract .cda files on a CD to .mp3 files to be saved on my computer (I always waited for someone else to do this for me, but I need to learn).

Some people use Windows Media, but I cannot (for whatever reason). Yet I do have the following version of Sonic Solutions Sofware: Roxio Creator DE, Version: 9.4.023.

I am certain I am not the first or the last who is trying to learn how to do this, but I cannot find a good guide to learn from (not through a quick search on this website or even on the "Help Me" files on the software - it mentions I should have something open, and of course nothing does). Please describe where on what menu, button, screen I can get started, what to select, and how to proceed.

I am sure it is not as difficult as it seems for me at the moment (I have searched for a way to do this for a while now and have started to get disappointed).

Please help.

Thanks!

You have a Dell teaser edition, most here run a full Retail Version. I'm not sure you can do it with the Dell edition!

I've used this free software CDex 1.51 version in XP for years...A Google search should find a CDex tutorial...

Installer Download for Windows NT series (NT, 2000, XP, Vista)
