I am doing simple editing of Tivo video in Videowave. I'm removing the commercials and burning DVD's for archiving. I'm just splitting video tracks and deleting them.
I am using EMC9. While editing video with Videowave, it is slow and unresponsive from the start. CPU usage jumps to 50-60, sometimes 90-100 percent (according to task manager). This lasts for 10-15 seconds and then it begins to throttle down. I am also experiencing video/audio synchronization problems afterwards. I get no error messages.
I have updated my video drivers, no effect. I have switched back and forth from hardware rendering to software rendering, does not affect the problem. Am I missing something?
