Lost Audio Drivers Roxio 10 D E

Polorboy

Question

That problem was sorted out back in 2007 - I wonder how long it took you to find that post ;)

Lol, well today is March 16 2009 and I just had the problem for the first time today and I am running Roxio 10 DE. Came with my Dell. It was working fine, I upgraded to 64 bit version of Vista Ultimate. Dell sent me the disk for free and all the other programs that came with my system, all compatible with the 64 bit version. I even got a new Roxio CD. I didn't install it right away because I really didn't have a use for it. I needed to burn a ISO and went to install the software. It installed fine but some how messed up my Audio drivers. I could not get them to work and it kept crashing. So I was forced to do a system restore to get the Audio drivers back. I restored to before I installed Roxio and they worked. So, I got everything back the way I wanted it and went to reinstall Roxio again to make sure that was what was causing it. I know it was Roxio but I was able to get the Audio drivers to work with Roxio installed but all of a sudden I am getting the same thing. I found this thread via google. I even did a complete reinstall of Roxio and still got the error message. I am guessing it is due to the restore and probably messed up some files. Anyway, this issues obviously was not solved back in 2007, since it is two years later and is still coming up.
