Then use this http://tools.roxio.com/support/tools/roxizap.exe to remove anything left over. Install ECDC5 from the cd. If the install says there are no supported recorders –– tell it to install anyway. (the updates will add support for some newer drives) DO NOT REBOOT. Run all the updates –– be sure to run 5.3.5, before driveup. Reboot.
goldie3845
ogdens, thanks for your reply. I followed your instructions however, in trying to install ECDC5 I continue to receive the error "Fatal error extracting ISScript.Msi from the binary table. Reason Unknown." When I proceed and enter the Product ID, then I receive another error "Internal error 2203. C:\Windows|Installer\11dc44.ipi, - 21471\287035." Then I can't proceed any further - it blocks me from installing the program altogether. Any further suggestions? Thanks

You could try copying the entire installation CD into a directory on your HD. If there is an error reading the files from the CD, you should get an error message during the copy. If that goes okay, try running the installation from your HD and see if that works.

Thanks d deweywright for your help. It did work! By copying the files to the hard drive and running the setup from there the installation was successful. Your help is appreciated.
