Black & White Flickering Movies

Hi.

I have some colour avi movie that I want to make really old looking, like the very early newsreels.

Converting it to black & white or sepia in Videowave (Roxio Creator 9 Ultimate), is easy enough, BUT, can anyone tell me how I can get the 'flickering' effect please?

I don't believe you can. At least I have not figured out how to do it with this software. The best that I have found is to use one of the "Noise" effects and then adjust the settings to give a grainy effect on the video. That does not do exactly what you want, but may be some help.
