the first thing it said, was to insert the usb device. and new hardware will try to install it. i have one tower with xp pro. i also have two laptops. tried plugging in usb device, and it caused all to crash. i got the blue screen with the warning. luckily xp windows is more forgiving these days.

so i'll take it back and try a replacement.{ but if anyone knows any good answers i'm listing.}
