Capture Video

Question

I am using Windows XP, Creator 9 and MyDVD. I have successfully transferred the required section of my old style VHS tape to a DVD and then captured it to the computer. I was able to preview the production but sections of the audio need to have the volume boosted. Unfortunately the volume seems to be combined with the video and not on a separate track like ‘added audio’ such as background music might be. If it was recorded on a separate track, then the problem would be easier to correct. Therefore, I need to separate the video and the audio tracks on the VHS tape. I am in the process of recording the audio on a tape recorder and the video on a digital-8 camcorder from the VHS tape as it plays on a VHS playback deck. Is there a simpler solution within Creator 9 or must I use this method?

What version do you really have? V9 has been out of production for years and you posted in the 2009 area???

VideoWave – right click – Edit – Native Audio
