Question

Hi: Don't know if this is the correct forum to place this message but here goes anyway..I have created a project in videoWave8 and all seems fine so far. The problem I am having is I have a project running approx. 1min & 36 sec. My audio clip is 2:40. I cannot seem to ajust the audio clip with Audio editor with a FADE OUT, that runs the same time as my project...Any suggestions..

Thanks

That is not what you first posted :D - go back and reread What you posted was " I have a project running approx. 1min & 36 sec. My audio clip is 2:40" .

Now do you want the project to be 2:40 or do you want to keep the length (whatever it is) and add more music or have the music loop? :)

I have Roxio Creator 8 Suite Home Version: 3.0.0 My audio clip is2:40 my project is 3:12

Sorry my project is 3:12

My audio clip is 2:40

I want to keep my project length as is, and be able to loop the music, but be able to add fade at the very end of the project.

This takes a bit of planning. Listen to the music and select a location where you want the looped music to begin. Some music phrase or section. Shorten the first music to that point. Add a second copy of that music to a second audio track. It doesn't matter which one. Drag the start of the second track to the end of the first track. It will end at the 3:12 mark. Now select the speaker icon to fade out the music.-- the end of both tracks.

You can play with that second track so it starts out at the beginning of a musical phrase and doesn't seem abrupt. In that case, just shorten the start of the music.

See image below, this is what you should see. Two copies of the same music, one starts when the other ends.

Since your audio clip is shorter than your video, the audio clip should end with the video. Select the audio track and then use the icon that looks like a speaker to use the preset fade out. If you used a previous version of Video Wave and do not have the Deluxe version of EMC 8, you will find that you have limited audio editing capabilities compared to the previous versions.

Which of the EMC 8 products do you have? Deluxe, Essentials or the standard?

Open up Creator Classic, click on Help, then click on about. Post the build number here, because that 3.0.0 does not help tell what version you have. That is a Sonic number from the home page. It is lame that they would have those numbers since they have nothing to do with the actual version number of the software.
