Content File

swedishlancer

Question

Saturday I downloaded the two Roxio files for Easy Media Creator 8. Installing the program file went well. When I tried to install the Content file (RoxioEMCContentCDv8.05_efisdj.exe), I got a message telling me that the installation could not proceed until I rebooted the system. I have done that twice, both a warm boot and a cold boot. The message keeps appearing. I can't install the file.

Three questions: How important is the content file? What does it contain? AND, how do I install it?

Does anyone have any thoughts or similar experience?

Thank you in advance for any help offered.

Open Roxio Creator 8 Home Menu and click on Applications. Under Applications, click on VideoWave8 or MyDVD8. Now, close the application, and try re-installling the Content file again.

The Content file contains additional themes, backgrounds, styles, templates, etc.

Try the following (TECHNOTE from old forum):

Problem: After installing Easy Media Creator 8, you attempt to install the

Content Disc and you are told to reboot the computer ever after you have

rebooted several times.

Solution: In most cases this is because the Media Manager database has

not yet been created. You can create this by launching an application that

will automatically create this for you

1) Launch PhotoSuite by clicking Start --> Programs --> Roxio Easy Media

Creator 8 --> Photo --> PhotoSuite

(You could also use VideoWave or MyDVD in place of PhotoSuite)

2) Now attempt to install the Content Disc and you should no longer be

prompted to reboot before installing.
