Disc Copier Compilation-Getting an error

malatekid

Question

I tried to burn a video using the Compilation mode. The dialogue box indicated 100% but the box was not closed (I checked the option box to close the dialogue box if burn is successful). When I geot rid of the dialogue box, there was a Message box shown below. Anyone who had this problem and any suggestion or work-around? :)

Good suggestion about 7.5! I haven't experienced any problems burning with 7.5 for the last so many months but will try tonight if it is a burning problem or file problem. Also, I'm testing the functionality of the Disc Copier 8. I'll post back result.

Paul,

The same file burned ok in EMC7.5. So I don't know what's going on when using the Disc Copier in EMC8. :)

Seems like parts of Disc Copier 8 don't work for many and I don't know why. It's a good thing you can have both 7.5 and 8 on the same system isn't it?

Have you tried other media? This is just in the Compilation mode and doesn't occur any other time?

In the past, some errors were corrected with firmware updates but reading your recent posts, I know you're up to date.

I used the Verbatim DVD+R 16x.

As far as the firmware, yeah the Lacie update I downloaded from its web (and spoke to a Lacie tech support) indicated the firmware update succeeded. But when I checked the firmware version of the burner after flashing, it's still the same version number as before.

I'll try another media (even though Verbatim is very reliable). I have TDK 8x (both the -R and +R).

Thanks for the suggestion, Paul.

BTW (by the way), that error code does not appear in my web search so maybe the error is an internal EMC code?

Jess, thinking back, I have gotten errors like that but can't swear the numbers were the same. Subsequent attempts worked so it could be a buffer error or anything else for that matter.

Have you tried 7.5 to see if it's not a problem with your project?
