Program Will Not Open

I just purchased Easy Cd and DVD creator, when I click on the shortcut the program stalls for a second then I get an error message, "unable to perform request for unknown reason". (real helpfull)

Anyway I have contacted Roxio and it seems their answer to ecerything is to do a clean uninstall, then a new install. did that... no help. It seems I have purchased the NON PREMIUM VERSION and therefore am unentitled to actual support service. At any rate here are the details, roxio drag to disk does work , I have tried everything I can think of including stopping running process one at a time to see if there is a conflict, none I can see. I have never bought software that a company will at least get you up and running the 1st time for free. (Sorry I needed to vent). Does anyone have any ideas?

Since this program suite is over two years old, and "out of support" anyway, you should return it to the vendor for a refund if you can.

WOw, I just bought it a couple of weeks ago at Office Depot.

I doubt that they will take it back being as I have opened the package.

Any ideas on how to get it up and running?

I'm afraid not. I've never heard of an "unable to perform request for unknown reason" error before, not have I worked on one.
