Mydvd10 Premier & Videowave 10 Has Stopped Working

whitejww

Question

I have been using MyDVD 10 Premier since 10/08 on an HP m9300t (4GB / Quad / Vista Home Premium 64 Bit) with no issues until recently. I attempted to open MyDVD and receive the message "VideoWave 10 has stopped working". Other than recommend MS Updates I have not installed any SW recently. I've goine through the typical touble shooting and uninstalled/reinstalled the MyDVD SW with the same results. Is anyone else having a similar issue?

I have MyDVD Premier8, and have the same problem. It stopped working giving the error message "Videowave8 has encountered a problem", with the option to click a Debug button or Close button. Clicking Debug does not solve the problem and I cannot continue.

I am on Win XP and have not installed anything but the usual updates.

MyDVD10 Premier also stopped working several days ago. Tried to do a few things to get it to work and it still didn't.

Tried to uninstall and do a new install, but now it's even worse because some of the applications available before are no longer available (i.e. photo slideshow, videowave, photosuite, and all the other goodies are now gone!) Don't get it and very upset as I was supposed to do a photo slideshow for graduation and was not able to make it happen!

With the new install only cineplayer is available. Bought mine in Jan.2009 and never had any problems until now...don't think we had any system upgrades that would of caused it to interfere. Any help?

On May 31, My DVD10 Premier started having problems burning to the DVD with the error message that Videowave had to shut down. I have also tried the update and then lost all the other applications. Have tried to reinstall from the original disc and then it won't let me in the program. I have a ticket number from customer support, but they have not answered and I don't believe they will. Does anyone know how to reach customer support via phone?

Have had the same prob for a while, and just dealt w/it. (I've no patience for tech support/customer service) but finally tried to fix it. Downloaded an "update" which wouldn't download. Tech support instructed me to do "clean install" which just created a mess. (when i tried to use the MyDVD program, it would just restart my computer!!) finally I gave up (again) and restored my computer to a point before any updates or "fixes". ha ha. Still can't use some features of the program, and will just keep saving my work every two seconds in case it shuts down.:unsure::blink::unsure:
