Photoshow 5 Hang Up

aukland

Question

I am in the process of completing a photoShow. In making the show, I moved some photos to their correct sequence; in some cases I "copied" and then "pasted" the photos in the correct positions. The original photo changed to an icon of a camera, which I cannot delete. When the show gets to these icons, I get a message that an error has occurred and PhotoSHow must shut down. Has anyone come across this problem? How can I delete these camera icon thumnails?

Thanks,

Aukland

Take a look at this thread. It appears copying the Photoshow file in question and saving it with a new name resolves the issue. The new saved file appears to work.

Yes, I just copied my Photoshow and save with a new name. It works I was able to print a DVD of my Photoshow. However, now how do we delete the camera incon is the next question. I guess delete the Photoshow and delete the photo file the icons are in. Good Luck.

I just received an answer the Roxio's tech support. They said we would have to delete the picture from your Photo file, then delete your Photo Show and start over. They also suggest, in the future, to make a couple copies of your Photo Show with different names so in case it happens again, at least we have a copy of a good photoshow as a backup.

I am not happy with their answers because I want to know how it happened and why we can't just delete the camera icon. I will persist on getting an answer regarding this situation, but at least, for now, we have this to go on.

I did'nt copy and paste my photo to cause the camera icon to appear, however, I did move some (rearrange) but only one of the photos turned to a camera icon. That's a clue for Roxio. it must appear when we move it.

I still have not heard from Roxio on how to delete it but when/if I do, I'll be sure to print it.
