I don't know how you did it before. Try recording what you want to put onto the music as separate files. Open Sound Editor and add the music. Near the bottom, clcik on the little plus. That will add a new track (I'm not sure how many you can add.) Click on one of the empty tracks and add one of your narration files. It will add on that track. Move it to where you want it. Adjust the relative volume of the original music down so the music is softer than your narration. Export the mix.

See how that works for you.

Thanks!

I think that will work but i want to be able to listen to it and record at the same time. any ideas?

i need help! I am going to record over a song while talking, I use to have an older version of Roxio and it let me do it but now I upgraded to 9 Ultimate and it doesn't have the same setting. Any tips?

Have you tried doing a "Narration" over the audio ? What are you planning to do with it once you achieve your goal ?

It's Creator 2009 Ultimate. There was not an EMC 9 Ultimate. However, there was a Deluxe version.

When talking about the Roxio software, it is best to use the full name of the software, to avoid confusion with an earlier version.

Where is Narration?

It is for a dance studio...they can practice while knowing what the next move is.
