HUH ! Never hear that one before except for high quality M-AUDIO CARDS.

They may send you a list but that probably won't do any good since it is almost impossible to change out a audio chip on a laptop. You do not have a audio sound card.

First go to Sonystyle and download any audio driver updates. You should also update any video drivers also.

Find the instructions on how to turn down the audio acceleration in Vista (if you can) or perhaps someone will give you some instructions here.

You may also be able to find an external audio card to plug into your computer but I would not think that you would need it.

Sony tells me that the sound card/chip in my FW laptop ( Vista ) is integrated into the motherboard !!!! Terrific !!! Now what ?!?!?!

The video capture seems to work OK, but no audio signal from analog sources. I have no idea what to do now !!! I feel like selling this laptop now !!! I got it in January

For the Roxio USB device; did you install/update the correct drivers while the device was plugged in?

If one of the old Roxio devices was really a Dazzle device, go to that web site and update the drivers. Most of the USB devices, other than the newest Roxio device will not capture audio only. That new device needs the updated drivers.
