Greg Little
I'm having trouble installing a recent MS update kb967715 (deals with autorun settings). This has been an issue for a month or so. When ever I reboot, the registry key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer] "HonorAutoRunSetting"=dword:00000001 disappears. Then MS wants to install the update again. This forum post sums up the problem well. I have not done this kind of testing yet, as I would rather not disable features unless that is needed. http://www.eggheadcafe.com/software/aspnet...15-issue-9.aspx If you search the web for "kb967715 DLA", you should many hits on the problem. Is Roxio aware of the issue? Is there a fix or a better work around? Also reported on Ticket #719124 Sent to support 4/27/2009, but no reponse yet. Brendon
Is Roxio aware of the issue? Is there a fix or a better work around? I would imagine they do know about the issue, it has been around for several months. However, posting about it here won't necessarily get to Roxio since this is a user forum and Roxio employees rarely pass through. Most of the other work-arounds seem to follow the same lines as the link you posted.
