How To Connect My Vhs Player/recorder To My Pc

my vhs player has to scart plugs and tv in tv out on the back. on the front it has 1 yellow video and 1 white audio. i have the roxio easy vhs to dvd box with the leads and instilation disc you showed me. soft ware seems to be working but it says no signal,

have conected yellow and white cable into front of vhs player set roxio to composite video. wot do i set the capture settings to? status says no signal i have pressed play on the recorder

 

usb device is pluged in

 

should i get a scart plug/adaptor for the tv out on the back of vhs recorder, thats if they do one

You'll probably need a SCART to Phone adapter as seen in this product sold by Amazon:

i have just bought easy vhs to dvd cables and soft ware only to find i can not connect my vhs player/recorder tp my pc. i wanted to convert my old vhs tapes to dvd :( can anyone help

Where is Daithi when you need him :lol: There have been a couple of posts from GB about this – of course I can’t find them right now… :(

 

You will most likely need an adapter that will output Video and Audio to RCA jacks.

 

They make them, check with TV or electronics stores in your area. Just make sure that it will pass both Audio as well as Video. – heard of some that don’t pass audio…

 

You might be able to get by if your TV has RCA Outputs? VCR to TV then hookup from the TV.
