What Is The Best Capture Setting To Use Hq Sp Lp Other?

HI,

 

When I start to move my 8MM tapes to the computer for DVD burning what is the best Capture Setting to Use? DVD - HQ SP LP or Other Option? :unsure:

 

Also what is the best Capture Setting to use to upload videos to You Tube? :mellow:

Unless you have a vision problem please reduce the size of you text :rolleyes:

 

The capture setting depends somewhat on what you want to do with your captured video. If you are going to burn directly to video after capture then DVD HQ would be a good setting since it will give the best DVD video. If you want to do editing on your video then you should be capturing to DV avi which is the best quality video you can get and is easiest to work with. The only problem with DV avi is that it will create huge files, about 13GB for 60 minutes of video. Also you should realize that a standard 4GB DVD will only hold 60 minutes of video at best quality. Any more and the video has to be compressed with resulting loss of quality. When you talk about video also forget about file sizes - its the timelength of the video that is important
